Jack and Jill is a family organization dedicated to developing our children and fostering life-long friendships with other families in the community.
Welcome to all who are visiting our website, my name is Cherise Moore and I am proud to be the 8th Chapter President of the Spectacular and Amazing Santa Clarita Antelope Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc.
When the Santa Clarita Antelope Valley Chapter was chartered in 2008, we became a part of a phenomenal national non-profit organization that has existed since 1938. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has a rich history and the mission to nurture future African American leaders. With over 80 years of service, Jack and Jill now represents more than 40,000 family members and 247 chapters nationwide. I am proud to be a part of an organization that continues to remain relevant and makes a difference now more than ever.
Our programming is for children ages 2-19, and is primarily centered around leadership development, awareness of cultural heritage and community service. As a national organization, Jack and Jill of America Inc. has established multifaceted initiatives such as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), the Healthy Living Initiative (centered on lifestyle improvements and healthy development) and various projects with our national and local partners. The philosophy we embrace is one of holistic enrichment of our youth and, by extension, our communities. Our national theme is "The Power to Make a Difference For All Children. On Purpose. On Mission".
The Santa Clarita Antelope Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. has been important to our community as we have planted trees, cleaned the riverbed, donated books and personal items to foster children, helped the homeless, walked to support important causes, hosted fundraisers to raise money for the Jack and Jill Foundation and local non-profit organizations, written cards for veterans and new moms, visited senior citizen centers, provide dinners for the homeless shelter, held food drives for those in need and hosted a STEM expo. Some of our other activities also include family gatherings, picnics and excursions around our city.
Our membership boasts of community leaders, educators, attorneys, media professionals and businesswomen. Beyond our active mother membership, we also have Associate Mothers for members whose children have graduated from the program as well as our Fathers Auxiliary who not only support our children but also have fellowship with men in our community.
Our chapter theme is “Mother's With A Purpose. Connected on Purpose". We are dynamic mothers working together in unity and on mission as we elevate, empower and prepare future leaders within the African American community. We understand the importance of choosing to be involved with groups that align with your personal values and I hope you find that Jack and Jill of America Inc. is the organization for you and your family.
